About Us
Country Valley Rabbitry was started a few years ago, it all started when I got my first bunny Holly a blue VM lionhead she was my first bunny Holly sadly crossed the rainbow bridge in August 2021 we miss her so much. We all the know the story of someone that buys a bunny then decides they don't want them, I found Holly on Craigslist and she was not in a good state when I got her she was afraid to be touched and you couldn't pick her up without gloves for a long time. I hadn't done much research on bunnies myself at that time but we learned from each other over time Holly got better and learned to love being picked up instead of fear it. It took six months for Holly to fully come around and enjoy life she started being a normal bunny and yes she's chewed lots of spicy hay aka cords which are now completely out of reach.
My sister had also gotten a bunny a couple months after I got Holly but hers was a baby and very sweet from the start. After Holly had fully trusted me and we had a good bond I decided to breed her to Moo Moo my sister's Holland lop bunny but the first litter was unsuccessful she had DOAs, so we tried again a little later this time all the babies were alive and healthy it turned out Holly was an excellent first time mom. We raised the babies as part of the family and decided to get into breeding sweet and gentle bunnies for families. Holly has been and always will be the one that I learned so much from and started it all she was the best mom here even taking on fosters from bad mom's. If it's anything I've learned from the Holly is do your research on bunnies before getting one and never give up on them they are special creatures and deserve the best life they can spoiled and happy.
